Winemaking: Our first big undertaking in making a skin-contact orange wine. The Marsanne grapes come from the beautiful 50 year old Ibarra-Young Vineyard in Los Olivos, farmed by the amazing Alica Anderson of Amevive wines. Two barrels (one free run; one pressed) were blended to make this tropical earthy beauty. Named for Yves Klein and his iconic 'blue' (the Pantone color of the year 2020) which is also the color opposite the color wheel from orange. The wine was racked off lees before bottling. 15ppm sulphur added at bottling.
