100% Sangiovese - 13% abv
Harvested on September 10th, spontaneously whole–cluster fermented (full carbonic maceration) in wood, 7 days of skin contact, aged 5 months between a terracotta amphora and three old barriques. Blended and bottled without clarification and filtration, left to age in the cellar for 4 months.
Flavours of cooked cherries, liquorice and hints of spice. A flow of acidity. This wine is juicy, but with a more serious edge to it. An interesting expression of Sangiovese.
Serve chilled. Improves with some oxygen.
